Activities

Program plan for Toddler Group: Ages 18 Months-36 Months

Goal: Cognitive

Activities:
• Offer choices
• Provide activities that guarantee success
• Provide indoor and outdoor experiences
• Allow children to experience pouring, textures, openended art, introduction to letters/sounds.
• Provide realistic pictures
• Plan schedule that emphasizes large motor activities

Goal: Physical

Activities:
• Allow children to scribble with large markers / crayons
• Allow children to use blunt end scissors
• Offer activities that children can use string to make fun projects

Goal: Language / social

Activities:
• Use variety of words as adults are talking to children
• Encourage children to express themselves verbally, and non-verbally.
• Allow children to pretend play


Toddler Discipline Policy: All children are taught to understand what behavior is acceptable, what behavior is unacceptable, and the consequences of certain behaviors. All children are made to feel comfortable and safe at all times.
