Goal: Social/Cognitive

Activities:

Goal: Build Physical

Activities:
• Outdoor opportunities, climbing, riding toys, music, dancing, building, puzzles, cutting, openended art

Goal: Language

Activities:
• Provide age appropriate books, magazines, cultural pictures, free play- pretend play,
• Talk about feelings, verbal/nonverbal

Goal: Social

Activities:
• Provide real objects
• Allow opportunities to explore people
• Alike/different

Goal: Cognitive Development

Activities:
• Introduce children to words, letters, sounds, numbers, patterns

Goal: Safety of Children

Activities:
• Fire Drills
• Develop listening skills, rules, age appropriate activities

Preschool Discipline Policy: Unacceptable behavior will be addressed without delay. Clear, consistent rules and limits appropriate to age are in place. Redirecting of children, as well as rewarding acceptable behavior, and encouragement of children to talk about feelings and helping children feel that they are in control of their actions, are all part of our discipline philosophy.
